The Franco chain features a square variation of a curb chain and consists of two to four squared curbs interlinked along the chain. Each individual link known as a chevron link in a franco chain forms a distinctive V pattern similar to the appearance of wheat or barley. The name "Franco" originates from the Italian jewellery designer to whom this chain style is accredited.
