Vintage K&L Sterling Silver Oval Photo Locket & 925 Silver Chain

A beautifully detailed vintage sterling silver oval locket by Kordes & Lichtenfels (K&L), combining decorative patterning with the sentimental appeal of a traditional two-photo locket.

The front features an intricate patterned finish, while the reverse has a contrasting textured surface. Measuring approximately 19mm high x 14mm wide and weighing 4.4 grams, the locket has wonderfully wearable proportions while retaining the character and craftsmanship associated with vintage silver jewellery.

Opening the locket reveals space for two treasured photographs. Each side includes a removable internal frame, designed to hold a photograph neatly and securely in position.

The locket bears the K&L maker's mark, associated with Kordes & Lichtenfels of Pforzheim, Germany. Founded in 1884, the company became known for finely made jewellery, including decorative sterling silver lockets characterised by precise pattern work and accomplished construction.
