Our small Isle of Wight 'Caulkhead' necklace is a handcrafted pendant design created as a miniature alternative to our larger Caulkhead necklace.
Handcrafted from 925 Silver, we create the pendant in our Isle of Wight workshop. Quirky, refined and elegant at the same time, this necklace is suitable for men or women and makes a wonderful keepsake of one of the Island's favourite words.
The name 'Caulkhead' is used to describe an Islander with a three-generation Island heritage on both sides, but derives from shipyards when vessels were caulked to seal and waterproof the boats—a skill found amongst many islanders working on both the Isle of Wight and UK mainland.
The necklace is created from 100% recycled silver, uniquely styled with the word 'Caulkhead' whimsically engraved on a 2.5cm x 1cm size pendant. As part of your purchase, we include an 18-inch curb chain with longer chain lengths available by request, subject to a small additional charge.
