Bespoke earrings by appointment
When returning clients John and Carol returned to our showroom in Ryde, they were looking for a very specific earring design. We were delighted with the fantastic opportunity to create a unique pair of heart-shaped diamond earrings, designed with a dazzling halo to enhance their shape.
GIA certification for diamond assurance
Our clients decided on natural diamonds instead of lab-grown diamonds for their rarity and value. At the same time, they sought the reassurance of GIA certification for both of the stones.
Drina hosted the appointment in our mezzanine area of the showroom and sourced a beautiful matching pair of heart-shape diamonds for their earring commission.
Ensuring a perfect pair of heart-shaped earrings
Anyone who has sourced heart-shaped diamonds will be aware of the enormous variation in shapes. We rule out many diamonds owing to their poor shape. As a result, we scour the world for diamonds with a defined heart shape.
The outer halo of diamonds benefitted the design by enhancing the shape. Very often, with most jewellery commissions, we consider small details to benefit the final item of jewellery. For example, in this instance, a larger diamond set into the cleft of the heart added definition to the heart effect.
Both heart-shaped earrings were crafted in 18ct Yellow Gold, with further consideration for security during wear.
Secure earrings with Alpha backs
We fitted separate posts, and Alpha backs, with a secure locking mechanism to prevent loss. In most cases, we provide free Lox earring backs with diamond earring purchases. However, in consideration for the cost, our client decided on 18ct Gold backs with the secure Alpha attachments.
